The last week of April we finally got some more visitors! Chafin's parents came over to Europe to do some exploring and to visit with us - while they were here, we got the opportunity to do fun things around the area and we also got the chance to explore a new country - Belgium! Chafin was able to give the grand tour of not only Newmarket, but Ely, Bury St.Edmunds, and Mildenhall. His parents got the chance to go out to the flight line and tour the KC-135, with their own personal tour guide no less! The highlight of the trip was taking the EuroStar over to Belgium - it was a first time for all of us. The first night we decided to stay in Bruges, the second night we hit up Brussels. Both cities were great! In Bruges we had some amazing food (Vlaamsche Pot...truly decadent!), tasty chocolates, and we all got to enjoy going on a canal boat trip together. Brussels was a little change of pace - we got to be part of a party at Manneken Pis 'Little Man Piss', Chafin and Papa got to try the 'Mussels from Brussels' for dinner, and we all indulged in some wonderful Beligum waffles for dessert. It was a nice trip and was especially memorable since we all got to experience a new country together!
